As Scouts, we take an Oath to do our duty to country. Through this program, we intend to honor our nation’s heroes by posting an American flag in yards across the town of Beaufort and beyond. 

Four (4) flag-based holidays are included. Flags will remain posted in your yard for one (1) week. Flags are installed the Sunday prior to the holiday and removed the following Sunday. 

• Memorial Day (May, last Monday) 

• Independence Day (July 4) 

• Patriot Day (September 11) 

• Veterans Day (November 11)

• Down East (Cedar Island, Atlantic, Sea Level, Stacy, Davis, Williston, Smyrna, Harkers Island, Otway) 

• Morehead City NC 

• Atlantic Beach NC 

• Newport NC 

• Emerald Isle NC 

Items included: 

• One (1) American flag 3×5 ft 

• One (1) pole 10 ft length 

• One (1) ground sleeve (The ground sleeve is installed flush with the ground to allow for seamless mowing. We simply ask that you notify us if you plan to have major landscaping or aeration performed.) 

• One (1) solar light (To strictly adhere to the US Flag Code, each pole includes a solar-powered light to ensure our colors are properly illuminated from dusk until dawn.) 

Weather & Safety 

In the event of forecasted extreme weather or high-wind warnings (common in our coastal area), our units may remove flags early for safety and to protect the hardware. 

Refund Policy 

As Scouts, we stand by our service. If you encounter hardware issues, we will repair or replace them promptly. While we do not offer pro-rated refunds for this annual subscription, you may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals. Your contributions directly fund Family Pack and Troop 404.
